How the secure document portal of ROC Regeneratives Centrum works.
Open a document
You received a link from the practice (by email, SMS or on paper). The matching password is sent separately – usually by phone.
- Open the link in your browser.
- Enter the password the practice gave you.
- Choose “Open document” to view it, or “Download” to save it.
The practice will never ask you for this password by email.
The link stays valid until its expiry date, so you can open the document more than once, for example on another device. Save it in good time – after that it can no longer be retrieved.
If you received the document as an attachment
Instead of a link, the practice may attach a password-protected PDF. Open it with a PDF application and enter the password you were given by phone.
Some basic preview apps on phones cannot open encrypted PDFs. In that case use a full PDF application, or open the file on a computer.
Sending files to the practice
If you received an upload link you can send files to the practice securely: open the link, enter the PIN you were given by phone if asked, choose your file(s) and upload.
- Permitted file types: PDF, JPG, PNG
- Size per file: at most 25 MB
- Number: at most 10 files per link
- Upload link validity: 3 days
A confirmation page appears after uploading. There is no confirmation email; the practice sees your files in the portal.
Every uploaded file is scanned for malware before it is stored. If something is found, the portal rejects the file. If the scan is temporarily unavailable, please try again a little later.
If something does not work
- Wrong password: Mind upper and lower case. After 5 failed attempts the link is locked for security reasons – please contact the practice.
- Wrong PIN when uploading: Here too the link is locked after 5 failed attempts.
- Link expired: Retrieval links are valid for 7 days. Please ask the practice for a new link.
- No password received: The password is deliberately sent separately from the link. Call the practice if you do not have it.
- File is rejected: Check the file type and size. Renaming does not help – the portal detects the real file type from its content.
Technical requirements
A current browser is enough. You need no account, no app and no JavaScript – the portal deliberately works without it.
Security & data protection
Your documents are stored encrypted with AES-256. The password is never kept on the server, and no external services, analytics or tracking technologies are embedded.
Documents are deleted automatically once they expire. Until then they remain stored in encrypted form – also after you have opened them. More in the privacy notice.
If you want a document removed before it expires, contact the practice – they can withdraw the link.
